Faced last night with a bevy of entertainment options, we opted to watch Thumbsucker, a film I have long wanted to see. It did not disappoint. The characters were so real and three dimensional that you could not help but be drawn into their lives, relationships and struggles. The story was also very believable, funny, touching and played to a fare thee well by a great cast. Definitely worth a look see.

There are days when everything goes right and days when everything goes wrong. We all have them. This week has graced me with one of each. On Monday, I led a charmed life. I won a Superbowl pool, found a penny on the sidewalk, drove under a train and saw a shooting star. Today has been a series of annoyances beginning with the presentation materials I had requested for a meeting this morning with a prospective client being first absent and then, after the person who had more than a week to prepare them had them thrown together, wrong. Walking into the aforesaid meeting, I ran my stockings. Having advised various and sundry clients that they could reach me on my cell phone, I later realized that I had left it at home. None of this bodes well for the photo shoot scheduled for later in the day. The one bright spot was that a colleague brought in cupcakes…beautiful pink and white frosted confections that are so lovely I would have posted a picture but for the lack of my camera. Grrr.
