Attended the H&F holiday party at the Transportation Museum last night. Great party! Great food! Great venue! This is a place tat the Flash and I have been talking about for some time but this was our first actual visit in meat space. We believe that our soon to be arriving out of town visitors will love it and so plan to visit again soon!

I must admit that I really, truly love snow. Especially up until about May. It is so exciting to wake up and see it out there—covering the lawn, dotted with squirrel prints. Those ARE, squirrels, right?

Berlin Blog is all about gift suggestions—for this year. She is way ahead of me. I hope I am not the only person who has not finished shopping for “last” year’s Secret Santa. It wasn’t for lack of trying, mind you but by the time we got around to returning what we thought was a great gift it was …oh, March. Then, trying …again…to think up something to replace the first thing. Somehow, inevitably, either the Flash or I end up with one of those people for whom finding a gift is impossible. Actually, there are quite a few of them in the Secret Santa pool. Do you ever get the feeling that there are some people who just need to develop new hobbies?! I do! You know who you are! Hop to!

And so another Thanksgiving passes. It is interesting that the Flash and I have never made Thanksgiving dinner at our house. Other holidays, yes, but not that particular one. I guess you could say that we have always been Thanksgiving nomads. It was interesting listening to the lambs discussing past holidays they recalled in New York at Uncle Greg’s and in North Carolina with the Southern folks. All different, all good. They talked about going to the Macy’s Parade, walking barefoot on the beach and eating cat head biscuits at Big Nell’s. Since the blizzard of ’98, we have been in the Queen City for the holiday. If it took Neon Moon 12 hours to get back to Northampton from here, how long would it take from there? Sigh.
